280g/m² cotton-blend. Long sleeve. Drop shoulder. The base layer the collection was built to sit on top of. Every other piece in Édition Première was designed to be worn over it, with it, or after it. It is not the last piece you put on. It is the first. Which is why it is called The Anchor.

Without it, nothing else holds.

Fabric Cotton-blend jersey. 280g/m². Lighter than The Founding, lighter than The Column — deliberately. The Anchor is the layer beneath. It should not compete with what sits above it. The slight polyester content gives it a composed drape that pure cotton at this weight cannot achieve. Obsidian throughout. The interior is as considered as the exterior.

Construction Drop shoulder seam. Loose through the body and sleeve. Round neck with single-needle finish — sits flat beneath a collar, beneath a hood, beneath a cardigan without bunching or pulling. Long sleeve falls to the wrist with ribbed cuff in matching fabric. The cut was made to disappear beneath other pieces and to stand completely on its own when nothing is worn above it.

Graphic ÉV monogram at right chest in bone — small, correct, in the position that has become the signature of the quieter pieces in this collection. The back carries the complete brand statement: large ÉV, aged gold rule, italic slogan, ÉDITIONS VARENT in tracked gold caps. The front is restrained. The back is the full declaration. Edition number on interior hem.

Care Hand wash preferred in cool water. Machine wash 30°C gentle cycle if necessary. No bleach. No tumble dry. Press reverse side only at low heat, never directly on the print. The cotton-blend composition means this piece recovers its form quickly — it is the most forgiving garment in the collection. It still deserves consideration.

Edition Numbered on the interior hem. When the edition closes it does not reopen. The Anchor exists in obsidian only in Édition Première. No restock. No exceptions.
