Not because of the weight — because of what the weight communicates the moment it is picked up. Before it is worn. Before the buttons are fastened. Before the ÉV is seen.

A verdict is a final decision. This is the final piece. The one that closes the look, closes the collection, closes the question of what to wear.

Fabric Cotton-blend fleece. 450g/m². The heaviest garment in the collection by a significant margin. The blend gives the surface a matte, structured quality — it does not pill, does not soften prematurely, does not behave like a sweatshirt despite sharing the construction. It behaves like outerwear that happens to have no lining and no shell. The obsidian ground is absolute. There is no variation in the depth of colour from shoulder to hem.

Construction Drop shoulder seam positioned to allow layering over The Anchor, The Meridian, The Silence without restriction. Loose through the body — not oversized for the sake of it, but cut with enough room that the weight of the fabric drapes correctly rather than pulling. V-neck opens wide enough to layer visibly over a round neck beneath. Four buttons run the full length of the front placket. The button stance is considered — not equidistant, not decorative. Functional and final.

Hardware Four horn-effect buttons. Dark, warm-toned, slightly irregular in the way that natural materials are slightly irregular. On obsidian they read as near-invisible at distance and completely deliberate up close. This is the correct relationship between a button and a garment at this level. They are not meant to announce themselves. They are meant to be noticed by the right people.

Graphic ÉV monogram at the right chest panel — positioned between the button placket and the side seam, in the space that the V-neck opening creates. Bone on obsidian. The placement is specific to this garment: no other piece in the collection has a graphic that sits in a space defined by the construction rather than centred on the body. Edition number on interior hem facing.

Care Hand wash strongly preferred in cool water. Machine wash 30°C gentle cycle only when necessary. No bleach. No tumble dry. Press reverse side only at low heat — the weight of this fabric holds heat longer than lighter pieces, so allow full cooling before wearing after pressing. Store flat or folded — the weight of the fabric on a hanger will distort the shoulder over time. The Verdict rewards the most considered care of any piece in the collection.

Edition The Verdict exists in obsidian only in Édition Première. The heaviest COGS, the highest retail, the most considered construction in the range. Numbered on the interior hem. When the edition closes it closes as a complete object — this weight, these buttons, this placement, this colourway. None of it returns. No restock. No exceptions.
